After fielding over a dozen nominations, the results are in for which community organisations will receive funding under the Ray White Belconnen Community Funding Initiative.
“We are constantly amazed by the acts of kindness and selflessness in our community, and have never taken for granted that our business is a part of the Belconnen & Gungahlin community” said Ray White Belconnen Managing Director Ben Faulks
Each quarter in 2015, Ray White Belconnen will give away $1,000 to local community organisations. The donations will be broken into 1 x $500 donation and 2 x $250 donations to the community groups that receive the most support on the Ray White Belconnen Facebook page, and votes from the Ray White Belconnen team. The initiative aims to help Ray White Belconnen identify grass roots organisations who may otherwise struggle to attract funding, and to allow those organisers to leverage the power of social media to spread the word about what they are doing in their community.
“The aim is to not only provide a financial contributions to local organisations, but to also build an audience of Facebook users in the area who have an increased awareness of those doing good for our local residents” “We hope that this initiative will also allow us to direct our community contributions to the organisations that have the greatest impact in our local area.”
Second round nominations are now open, and all organisations that nominated and did not receive funding remain eligible to participate. Check out the Ray White Belconnen Facebook page for further details.
