The partnership between Ray White Belconnen and the Belconnen Arts Centre continues to pay dividends for the regions home owners, with a local record 12 properties taken to Auction at the community venue on Thursday, 6th March 2014.
Of the 12 properties 3 sold prior, with another 5 selling under the hammer on the evening.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly 6 Waterman Place, Fraser which received huge inspections during the three week campaign. Backing Mt Rogers on an allotment of 1500m2, the original condition 3 bedroom plus study home commanded an eventual sale price of $650,000 – over $100,000 above the owners expectations.
For Ray White Belconnen Sales Consultant Liam Wilson it was a great result for very deserving sellers.
“We ended up with 7 bidders registered for the property, and it far exceeded our expectations. It’s just so rewarding because that family are lovely people who have been in the home for many years and it was hard for them to say goodbye to so many memories” said Wilson.
Other properties sold as part of the campaign included a 3 bedroom home in Macquarie which was sold by Auctioneer Scott Jackson for $572,000 after just 2 weeks on the market, and 4 Flagstone Street, Harrison which was sold by Kunal Kumar for $546,000 after previously being listed with another local agency for several months.
The interest in properties during the Auction campaign was strong according to Ray White Belconnen Principal Ben Faulks.
“We have seen a steady increase in the volume of buyer enquiry over the last 3 weeks, with particular interest in the $500,000-$650,000 price bracket. These buyers are being driven to take advantage of low interest rates and take another step up the property ladder” said Faulks.
The next Ray White Belconnen Auction evening will be held on Thursday, 3rd April at 6pm.
