For the second time in the month of November, Ray White Belconnen has sold 3 from 5 under the hammer at their in room Auction event, held at Grace Place on Thursday 29th November.
The 60% clearance rate is well above the average Canberra clearance rate of 43% recorded over the past 4 weeks by allhomes.com.au, and reflects the focus of the group on delivering results for their vendors through the Auction process.
Notable sales included 7 Styx Close, Amaroo which was hotly contested by 2 bidders, and sold well above reserve at $632,000. The property was marketed by Ali Keele, who generated 28 inspections over the preceding 3 weeks.
The other two properties to sell were both located in Evatt and reached vendors expectations under the hammer, whilst the two passed in properties attracted good interest during their marketing campaigns and expect to achieve a sale in the coming weeks.
Ray White Belconnen Auctioneer and Director, Scott Jackson:
“Styx Close was one of the most hotly contested Auctions we have seen for some time, and continues to demonstrate the momentum in the marketplace for quality property”
Ray White Belconnen Principal Ben Faulks:
“Our vendors who choose to Auction their homes continue to benefit from reduced days on market, with 70% of our properties taken to Auction during 2012 selling within 60 days of marketing. This compares to 35% of private treaty sales selling within 60 days.”
The team at Ray White Belconnen have taken over 70 properties to Auction in 2012, and have their last Auction for the year on-site at 95 Alberga Street, Kaleen on 19th December.
