Ray White Belconnen community partner Belconnen Arts Centre in conjunction with Belconnen Community Service, will be hosting the first Spring Winds Festival on Sunday, 26 October form 12pm-4pm.
Join with us to celebrate this unique day and be a part of this spring inspired festival on the banks of Lake Ginninderra, adjacent to Belconnen Arts Centre.
The Festival will have kite making workshops for families, kite parades, kite flying, drum making and playing workshops, drumming parades, a Bag and Bundle Bazaar, origami activities, kinetic art works, bird and fish installations, Cars that Paint, guerrilla knitting, bike displays, a jumping castle, face-painting, delectable food and an exciting variety of dance and music performances!
“We want to provide a fun and creative opportunity for our community and encourage people of all ages to be active, creative and enjoy the Festival atmosphere. This event has grown over the past 2 years to stimulate local engagement in the Belconnen region and bring together one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse communities in the Territory” says Creative Programs Director at BAC Jacque Schultze.
Large kites will be flown and on display, and many groups will bring their own kites made last year for the Arts Centre’s WIND AIR WATER KITE FESTIVAL.
