Having maintained an Auction clearance rate at the Belconnen Arts Centre so far in 2013 of 76%, the team from Ray White Belconnen successfully sold 3 out of 5 on or before Auction on Thursday 30th May to set their clearance rate at 73% for the year.
One property in particular, 45 McEachern Crescent Melba, attracted heated bidding to drive the property past expectations by an impressive $20,000. Four bidders contested the Auction and the ultimate sale price was $500,000.
“That pocket of Melba always attracts strong interest due to its proximity to several levels of schooling and easy access to Belconnen Mall” said Ray White Belconnen Principal Ben Faulks.
“It was just a delightful home, with a flat block of just over 800m2 and a huge garage and workshop out the back. The result is a great credit to the owners who presented the property impeccably throughout the campaign” said Faulks.
The other properties that sold on the night were 329 Southern Cross Drive in Holt which sold to one bidder, and 3 Bennelong Place which attracted strong interest during the campaign and sold prior to Auction for $610,000.
“Auction continues to provide sellers with a unique opportunity to achieve a premium price with the initial marketing period” said Ray White Belconnen Auctioneer Scott Jackson.
“Our team has a healthy respect for the Auction process, and it’s rewarding to see that showing in the results we are consistently achieving for our sellers.”
