Residents of Belconnen real estate may be interested to hear announcements from the state government's latest budget for 2013-14.
The budget includes funding for a number of projects that will help to improve community facilities in the city, as well as provide increased support for residents.
Belconnen Community Health centres and nurse-led Walk-In centres will receive $9 million in funding, which will help to keep the centres functioning for residents in the area.
Also set to see improvement from the budget is the Belconnen High School, which will receive $2 million for refurbishing and upgrading. This will help to accommodate for the growing number of school-aged children in the area.
Those looking to buy brand new Belconnen apartments or houses may also be interested to hear that the ACT state government will be releasing more land for residential development.
A total of 1,752 residential dwelling sites will be made available in Belconnen, which will help to increase housing supply in the area.
This will be part of the four-year long Land Release Program as identified in the state budget.
Once completed, the higher supply of available homes may help to ease affordability for many buyers looking to enter the Belconnen market.
