Anthony & Megan always had a dream to build their own home.
But some of the best laid plans often go awry, and with the arrival of their beautiful baby daughter Ella, Anthony who works in IT and school teacher Megan, have decided to sell their dream home at 63 Nardern Crescent, Crace.
The decision to sell was not taken lightly, as both Anthony and Megan had both been highly involved in the design and build of the 4 bedroom home in Crace. Anthony commenced study to receive his builders licence, and was initially set to tackle the project himself, however to minimise the risk of anything going wrong, decided to engage the services of a small local builder who would allow him and Megan to be intimately involved in the process.
Having not built a house before, there were significant stress points for the Hodge’s, but with a focus on quality and retaining the vision to build a home of which they could be proud, the end result has been spectacular.
“The important things for me were the use of natural light and the design of the kitchen – particularly the large walk in pantry” said Megan “we wanted a designer feel, but at the end of the day it had to be a home”.
For Anthony it went a step further with creature comforts like deluxe shower heads and soft-close drawers putting the finishing touches on what is a truly impressive property.
