There is no shortage of reasons to raise your kids in property in Dunlop, not least because there are so many ways to enjoy the great outdoors in the local area. Among them is the Pod Playground in Canberra's Arboretum, which has proved a hit with youngsters for many years.
In great news, the territory government has announced that new shade sails are set to be installed at the site, which will make the area even safer for kids.
"The new shade structures have been designed to match the style of the existing playground structures which were inspired by the natural environment," explained Minister for Territory and Municipal Services Shane Rattenbury.
"They will be constructed in the shape of a leaf from a light steel frame and will be installed above the current seating."
A number of changes have already been made at the playground over recent years, including the installation of a drinking refill station and new gates to improve security.
The Arboretum is a major attraction for locals and those from further afield. In April this year, the attraction saw its highest number of monthly visitors since opening in February 2013, as 78,983 people passed through the Village Centre.
