Moving on: How tenancies in the ACT may come to an end
For whatever reason, you may find yourself needing to end a tenancy agreement. Here’s a look at the proper process for ending tenancies in the ACT.
Transport infrastructure is a major selling point for property across Australia, and Belconnen real estate is no different. Recently completed market research by the Capital Metro Agency has found the majority of people in the Australian Capital Territory support the development of a light rail in the region.
This could be a brilliant opportunity for those considering real estate in the area, especially for anyone who may have to commute long distances to and from work. Minister for Capital Metro Simon Corbell said the project had support from a wide range of different age groups, highlighting the overall appeal of transport infrastructure.
Mr Corbell said the rail line was one of the projects in the region being surveyed for public opinion. Another question about replacing the Northbourne Avenue trees with a longer lasting species – in order to fall in line with regional revitalisation – was also brought up with the public.
"It is also encouraging to see that 57 per cent of respondents said they would be more likely to use public transport if it involved a light rail system within walking distance or accessible by other means," said Mr Corbell in an August 4 statement.
Now could be the perfect time to get in touch with a local real estate agent and begin investigating property options in the community.
