Fran and Andrew have been through a tough time. Last October their daughter Talicia was diagnosed with kidney failure and required emergency surgery and dialysis to keep her alive. For a 17 year old this changes your whole world, and parents suddenly have knowledge on topics they wish they didn’t.
Talicia is the best patient, rarely complains and does everything asked of her including home dialysis. Sadly there is no cure for the disease and long term treatment options are limited to transplant, however there is hope with Andrew close to being approved as Talicia’s donor.
In an effort to be closer to family for support, Andrew and Fran have decided to relocate to Kempsey, and listed their Fraser home for sale with Ben Faulks from Ray White Belconnen in July. The 5 bedroom home at 85 Shakespeare Crescent, Fraser occupies a 1,094m2 block with a renovated kitchen and rumpus room, however the renovations that Fran & Andrew had not been able to complete impacted heavily on the potential sale price, and whilst offers were received, they were far too low to allow Andrew & Fran to make the move.
Having been inspired by the courage and humour with which Fran & Andrew approached their situation, the team at Ray White Belconnen decided to roll up their sleeves and help out. They offered to cover the cost of all materials, and enlisted the support of local tradespeople who generously donated their time free of charge to paint, install new blinds, install a ducted heating system and renovate the main bathroom.
As a result of all the hard work, the property has been relisted for sale this week with hopes of a quick sale.
Fran & Andrew have been overwhelmed by the support offered to them, and ask that wherever possible you support those who have supported them in their time of need:
