Moving on: How tenancies in the ACT may come to an end
For whatever reason, you may find yourself needing to end a tenancy agreement. Here’s a look at the proper process for ending tenancies in the ACT.
If you are ever looking at moving into a new community, it pays to ensure that the suburb is dedicated to the health of the local residents. To that end, those considering purchasing real estate in Belconnen will be perking up their ears at the news of a brand new hospital being built just around the corner.
This new hospital, which has been planned since 2012, has now finally begun construction with the first sod turned by Member of the Legislative Assembly Simon Corbell. The hospital is set to revitalise both the local University of Canberra as a teaching hospital as well as support other nearby health centres which have reportedly been struggling to accommodate the growth in population in recent years.
However, there has been some debate as to the efficacy of the hospital without significant alterations to current road infrastructure, in particular the duplication of Aikman Drive. The Canberra Times reports a number of residents and officials have expressed concerns at a possible increase in congestion as a result of this new hospital.
An ACT Health Spokesman argued otherwise.
"There will be a bus stop right outside the hospital and ACT Health are working with ACTION to maximise public transport services," he said.
Minister for Roads Mick Gentleman also told the Canberra Times that the Aikman Drive duplication, while previously rejected for reason of lack of information, has not been completely discounted and will be considered for the 2016/2017 budget.
With a new hospital and the potential for improved infrastructure on the cards, there has never been a better time to invest in Belconnen real estate. Speak to the experts at Ray White Belconnen today to find out how you can make yourself a part of this newly revitalised, health-conscious community.
