Moving on: How tenancies in the ACT may come to an end

A number of key reforms were recently passed by the Australian Capital Territory government, which will help give the Environment Protection Authority more power when dealing with issues of pollution. Environmentally-minded residents of Belconnen real estate should be happy about this, with more efforts being made to help reduce the harm done by metropolitan living areas on the planet.
Minister for the environment Simon Corbell said that once rolled out, these changes will "expand the regulatory tools available to environment protection officers when dealing with pollution".One of these changes is to allow an alleged offender to enter a binding agreement to settle any alleged contravention of the law, in order to take initiative and remedy any problems caused by their actions.
"A key role for the Environment Protection Authority is to provide education to the community and industry on the effects their actions may have on the local environment, and I would like to see this role continue into the future," said Mr Corbell in a 30 October statement.
As the nation continues to embrace a more sustainable attitude, these types of laws could become more common. Now could be a great time to get in touch with a local real estate agent and begin searching for a suitable home in Belconnen today.
