Moving on: How tenancies in the ACT may come to an end
For whatever reason, you may find yourself needing to end a tenancy agreement. Here’s a look at the proper process for ending tenancies in the ACT.
Five new 'Water on Tap' refill stations were introduced by the Australian Capital Territory government earlier this week, which allow residents of Belconnen real estate to make a healthy hydration choice while also cutting down on the amount of recycling across the city.
Minister for territory and municipal services Shane Rattenbury said that encouraging people to refill their plastic bottles with water reduces the number of bottles being thrown away while also encouraging people to drink fresh water instead of sugary drinks.
"The production of plastic water bottles uses valuable fossil fuels and resources and, although plastic bottles are recyclable, 65 per cent end up in landfill. The introduction of water refill stations aims to reduce landfill requirements and reduce the cost of processing recycling material from public places," said Mr Rattenbury in a 20 March statement.
"Importantly, the water refill stations are wheelchair and child friendly with the bubbler and one refill nozzle positioned at a suitable height. They are also vandal resistant and easy to maintain."
This could be great news for those interested in embracing a healthier lifestyle in Canberra. If you're looking to buy Belconnen property, get in touch with a local real estate agent today.
