By Ben Faulks

Securing the biggest profit on your home is arguably the main concern for you when it comes to selling your home. After all, you want to make sure you're in the best financial position when you start looking for a new home for you and your family. If you're looking into selling your Belconnen real estate in the near future, it could be worth taking that first step now and speaking with a real estate agent.

The median house price for capital city properties has grown during the first quarter of 2014, which is great news to put you in the drivers seat of a fulfilling sales process. The Bendigo Bank/Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) Real Estate Market Facts report found the weighted average median house price across the country's capital cities grew by 1.9 per cent during the March quarter, according to a June 11 statement.

Furthermore, apartments, townhouses and other dwellings also saw a 1.7 per cent increase to their average median price. The current national capital city market has an average house price of $606,517 – great news for families interested in selling their homes in Belconnen over the coming months.
